Here’s an amazing Christmas fact. When Jesus was born, God stepped into our world. It is an amazing truth that bears significant consequences. If you look across history, mythology, and world religions, the idea of a god assuming human form is not uncommon. In Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Norse myths, the gods sometimes disguise themselves as humans or take on a temporary form or they were part human part animal. But they do not become fully human, nor do they suffer, bleed, or die in any meaningful, historical way.  Only Christianity teaches that God literally became human. The Bible says about God the Son, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
