6. Christianity Over Culture: How To Succeed In Marriage

This weekend we continue in our series called CHRISTIANITY OVER CULTURE. When we place our trust in Jesus we are called into a different culture. We find that by following Jesus we are exposed to God's original design for our lives. He created this universe and so he alone knows how to live this life to the fullest. Due to our sin nature we are engaged a battle once we trust in Jesus. He calls us to leave our slavery to our sin natures and to run in freedom to do the good God designed us to do. In order to run free from sin we must first learn God's directives and wisdom. Then through the power of the Holy Spirit we put the truth of God into practice in our lives. God empowers us as we choose to honor Him in our bodies. This gives us a growing confidence and power to live for God. One area that living by God's truth and wisdom really affects us is with in marriage. Our culture has left any attachment to God's design for marriage and sexuality and so we must rediscover what God's plan is for us in this area if we are to succeed. Join us this weekend as we continue to explore 1 Corinthians by engaging chapter 7 of this key epistle. We will gain insight into the positive expression of our sexuality.
