#6 Healthy Female Friendships

from For The Love Of Men Podcast · host Courtney Schand & Brianna Mosher

The intention of this show is to bring together men and women in harmony and honor each other's masculine and feminine energetic cores to create healthy, polarized relationships. What makes friendships work? Friendship, like any other relationship, is the space for more authenticity. This requires a willingness to step in and see someone else’s authentic self as well as offering your truth in return. Focal Point: What makes friendship valuable to you? (your friendships may require something specific to be satisfying and they won’t know unless you ask for it, so go for it) What do they feel like when they are healthy? Friends that bring out the best in you are able (and willing) to see you and celebrate the ways you enhance their experience by being in their life and hear and honor your needs/“no”. Focal Point: Notice where in your life you feel the most “you”, can you invest more appreciation, time and energy into nurturing those connections? What are some sneaky ways friendships get off balance/why? Jealousy… It’s easy to feel jealous when other women’s uniqueness is being displayed, especially if you aren’t feeling your own Masculine energy’s support- this will have you *acting* out of jealousy instead of using it to learn and develop new skills/interests. Focal Point: Notice your pattern with jealousy in relation to other women. If you’re wanting more/deeper connections with Empowered women, they will provide an opportunity for you to display your uniqueness. You choose what to do with your awareness- compare it or celebrate it. How to choose friends as an adult (that wants to be the healthiest version of yourself)? The more you prioritize healthy relationships, the more you will be able to communicate in a way that prevents resentment. This will ultimately attract new friends with more similar values/skills (what makes friendships “work” for them) and will naturally create space for other people to step into greater maturity or fall away. Focal Point: A healthy relationship is able to honor both parties and find a win-win. What happens when you say “no” in your current relationships? Can you lead the practice of saying or hearing “no”? Want more from Courtney?
