Send us Fan Mail In 1973, country music star, Stringbean Akeman, and his wife, Estelle, lived a fairly frugal life in Ridgetop, Tennessee, just half an hour from Nashville. Scarred from the Depression, the couple didn’t use banks and instead kept their money either on them or hidden in their cabin.
