If you have topic ideas for our podcast or want to reach Michelle, send us a text! We'd love to hear from you!#6 - ENCOURAGINGIn the beginning of this chapter, I mentioned “Necessary Significance”, a vital need we all have no matter what our title, position or experiences in life. Encouraging others is one of the simplest forms of providing significance to others. We can completely alter how someone sees themselves and their future when we take time to tell someone, “Great job!” or “I am proud of you!” or “I know you can do this, I believe in you!” Encouragement is not about flattery. It is about authentically recognizing the abilities, talents or contributions of others. True encouragement can vastly improve the perception they have about themselves and empower them to step out in areas they would otherwise never succeed in. It can also be used to reinforce behaviors we want repeated. Consider the following relationships and visualize the outcome of each when you apply encouragement, consistently:        Spouse or significant other        Your children or other children in your life        Family members/Relatives (especially those whom you may not currently get along with)        Your supervisor or leader        Your friends        Coworkers        Colleagues        Strangers you meet every dayWhen you create a habit of encouraging others, you become unforgettable. When people think of who is valuable to them or who to invite to special occasions, job offers or great opportunities, they will think of you because of how you make them feel. Excerpts and insights* from Chapter 10 of "Your Journey to Greatness Through Routine: A Guide to Creating a Success Routine" Book Contains:7 Actual Case Studies8 Downloadable ToolsAssessment Questions at the End of Each ChapterThe Brain Science Behind HabitsRetraining Your Brain Through Cognitive RestructuringHeart Science, Energy and the Law of AttractionPowerful Principles of Influence and GreatnessTips and Tools to Build Your Success Routine*Certain portions have been added to actual book excerpts by the author.  LEARN MORE AND PURCHASE THE BOOK at http://michellesteffes.com/bookSupport the showMichelle L Steffes is a Certified Speaker, Corporate Trainer, Executive Coach and Author of two books: "Reframe & Rewire" (also available on Audible) and "The Machine Inside Me."
