6 tips to settle your rescue dog - especially if they're fearful

from Rescue Tails · host Nihal Salah

Thinking about adopting a rescue dog? Or have you recently adopted one and are struggling to help him or her get settled? You’re not alone! It can be really stressful for dogs and their human companions in the first few days, weeks and even months. When I brought my dog Rosa home, we had a really tough start. She was too scared to come inside the apartment and slept by the front door for the first few days. She was scared of pretty much everything including cars, people, other dogs. This is quite common with rescue dogs. But fast forward 6 months later and she’s as happy as can be! So in this episode, I want to share some of the lessons I learnt and the 6 things you must do to help make the transition as easy as possible for your new furry friend. www.rescuetails.co
