60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: Celebrating 26 Years Serving Mobile Turkey Unit Thanksgiving to Islanders in Need

Hello to you listening in Sumner, Washington!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.If this is the day before Thanksgiving I’m elbow deep in boxes of pumpkin pies cutting and boxing slices for upwards of 700 turkey dinners being prepared by 200 Mobile Turkey Unit volunteers who have been busy carving freshly roasted turkeys, peeling mountains of potatoes for mashing, stirring vats of stuffing, spooning up cranberry relish, bagging rolls and butter, napkins, utensils and even coffee.
