Hello to you listening all over these United States where we are holding it together with goodness, kindness, compassion, humor, and shared stories of community. Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more) for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. The Witch of Whidbey is here to stir up some magic as we celebrate our country’s 250th birthday. 250 years old is a lot of years. Together we’ve done some things wrong and some things better. How do we collectively correct the wrongs and improve the better? We fall in love with the narratives that reflect our best selves and we share them with each other in two ways.   Connect250, StoryCorps and NPR’s Morning Edition are bringing strangers together for recorded conversations about their lives to mark the 250th anniversary of our nation. These conversations will go to the Library of Congress, to become part of American history. You are invited to register for a 40-minute video conversation with an American you’ve never met, and help create a time capsule of American voices in honor of our nation’s 250th birthday.
