Ke’oni Hanalei is an alchemist, Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner and founder of Pohala Botanicals in Kula, Maui, Hawaii. Ke’oni comes from a long line of medicine holders called Kahuna in Hawaii. His lineage hails from ancient times with pre-polynesian roots from the continent of Mu. Ke’oni was entrusted with sacred knowledge from Hawaii and Mu, including fern medicine wisdom from his grandmother, who had a premonition that he would disclose the secrets to the world at a designated future time. Traditional Kahuna understood Man's emotions as supreme in living a balanced, harmonious life, and Ke'oni will share how the spores of endemic and indigenous Hawaiian Ferns hold such codes which correlate to specific human emotions, traits, and virtues. The potency of Fern Medicine has been considered kapu or "forbidden" until recently when the kapu was lifted and all that was huna, or "secret," could be disclosed. Ke'oni has taken on this kuleana (responsibility) with great ha'aheo (pride), and considers this the purpose of his life, and the resolution of his ancestors.
