#61 Colin O'Brady- Explorers Grand Slam World Record Holder

Today on what got you there Sean talks with Colin O' Brady. Before beginning his career in finance, Colin left to explore the world on a backpacking trip. While in Thailand, Colin suffered a tragic accident and was severely burned in a fire. His injuries covered nearly 25% of his body, primarily damaging his legs and feet. Doctors warned that he may not ever walk normally again, but Colin was determined to beat the odds and roughly 18 months later he completed a triathlon. He then went on to achieve numerous other incredible athletic feats including breaking the world record for conquering the Beyond 7/2 Explorers Grand Slam in just 139 days. He also summited the tallest peak on each of the seven continents and skied the last degree to the North and South Poles. Fewer than 50 people have ever completed this staggering achievement, and only four in under a year. With grit and perseverance, Colin became the fastest person to complete the mountaineering challenge, also breaking the speed record for the Seven Summits in 132 days.
