#61 How to Use Wakefulness to Develop Healthy Relationships with Yourself and Others with Guest, Katherine Jansen-Byrkit

from Rewiring Health® · host Kelly Kessler

In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Katherine Jansen-Byrkit. Katherine Jansen-Byrkit, MPH, LPC is an author, speaker, educator and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her current work follows her first career in Public Health. Prior to becoming a therapist, she obtained her Master of Public Health from the University of Washington and enjoyed many years of working on the issues of teen pregnancy, violence prevention and community wellness. But at 39 years old, she got a flirt from the Universe, a calling of sorts, to become a therapist in the footsteps of her father. What came next was a master’s degree from Lewis and Clark College and a private practice where she offers individual, couples, group and retreat services. She is dedicated to personal growth and relational transformation for herself and for others and focuses on aspects of wakefulness that include cherishing the body, reclaiming intrinsic worth, cultivating conscious relationships and embracing death and dying.
