61. It Is Important to Be Your Own Voice with Ashley Gauthier

This week we had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking with our friend Ashley Gauthier.  First and foremost, Ashley is a Mother and Wife who loves spending time with her family.  In addition, Ashley trains as a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under the Main brothers at Pure MMA, while simultaneously managing its daily operations.  The one thing that stood out to us is Ashley's resiliency and ability to overcome hard times and turn them into positive outcomes.   Whether it be enduring financial difficulties stemming from an incident with her husband's job, entering into an abusive relationship at a young age, or her initial discomfort in training BJJ with "big sweaty guys", Ashley's mental fortitude allowed her to overcome each situation and transform them into successes.  She also shares a rad story of being apart of a Pyramid scheme, which you will not want to miss.  In her spare time, Ashley helps out her husband in running her family's doughnut shop, Beignets, located in Denville NJ.  We were truly entertained from her story and know you will be too.  Enjoy!
