61: "mother!" (2017)

Meet Jesal and Rochard. We are the Transatlantic Rebels. Follow us on Twitter - https://twitter.com/T_Rebels Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TransatlanticRebels Episode 61 finds us tackling one of the most controversial films of 2017... "mother!" by Darren Aronofsky. (Yes, it is lower case and with an explanation mark, sorry - exclamation mark). It is possibly Rochard's favourite film of the year. There is plenty to cover as we dive into the main characters, their performances and the importance of this film in a fascinating year of cinema. We could have talked for hours about this but had to cut it off at a sensible length. We managed to cover feminism, religion and the diverse reviews. Jesal is from the UK, and Rochard is from America. We like to talk in depth about albums, films, TV shows and books. Rochard has a background in TV, acting, writing and many other areas of art creation. Jesal has a background in music: DJ, producer, artist, critic and other stuff. Enjoy!
