Mr. Gray’s Class Podcast Online Permission Slips Next week is Parent Conference Week. School ends at 1:17 each day next week, except Wednesday the 14th, where there is no school. (make a goodreads.com account with your child to help find books) Reader’s Workshop Next week the kids will study their own reading habits as well as studying more details about characters and growing ideas about their books. They will make goals for how to be a better reader and learn to grow ideas about their characters. Writer’s Workshop The kids will finish revising and publishing their persuasive speech. They will also present their speech in front of the class on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. Math Math Answers and Help Here The next few weeks will be dedicated to in Introduction of Ratios. Here is a quick rundown of what we will be studying. Next week we will focus on modeling Ratios in double number lines. The kids will have a homework quiz on modeling double number lines on Thursday. History The kids will continue studying Ancient Mesopotamia and specifically focus patterns of how empires rise and fall as we look into the Ancient Assyrian and Chaledean Empires. Science The kids will work with Mr. Nelson in science lab and learn about expectations for in-person science lab learning. We will use our science workbook to start a unit on human body systems.
