613 - Ground Hunting the MISSISSIPPI MONSTER!

Today we are talking with Chase Borries about his GIANT Mississippi public land buck he tagged on opening day last year! Chase was able to capitalize on a cold front and get the buck to under 15 yards while hunting from the ground in a palmetto swamp. Subjects: Locating bucks in flat river bottom areas Finding a buck of this caliber in the midst of a lot of hunting pressure Keying in on edges Tucking into the palmettos for a ground setup We also answer some listener Q&A submissions towards the end of the show: What is the best way to approach public land you can't run cameras on, and cant scout ahead of time as a weekend warrior? What is the best way to hunt public land with an abundance of roads, where getting far away from roads is not an option? How should you hunt a property that was recently clear cut?
