62. Understanding Student Enrollment:  Student Engagement

from EdUp Insights · host EdUp Insights

Recently released 2023 figures on enrollment trends in the U.S. show an interesting picture of how higher ed looks coming out of the pandemic. There may be some stabilization of the losses that already existed and were exacerbated by the effects of COVID.  But how that stabilization is being realized is a complex combination of trends and sub-trends that we can document but not really explain.  In this episode I’ll explore what the latest data suggest.  And I’ll look at how the data look through the lens of student engagement, leaning on the insights of Dr. Jenny Darroch from Miami University (OH).  What can we blame on COVID, and what can we blame on ourselves?  Check it out.
