62. What Truly Motivates You, Based on Your Enneagram with Abbi Rodriguez

from Electric Ideas with Whitney Baker: Motherhood, Self-Connection, Joyful Living & Self-Care · host Whitney Baker

Want to understand what motivates you? It could be time to explore your Enneagram type. Enneagram categorizes people into different types – there are nine main ones – and helps us understand our unique way of perceiving the world. It's a great tool for understanding ourselves better, and where other people are coming from, too.   My guest today, Abbi Rodriguez, is an accredited Enneagram teacher and certified somatic practitioner. Her work centers on partnering with people and helping them get curious – and make sense of -- their lives through exploration of Enneagram and Somatic Integration. Abbi travels across the United States to teach the Enneagram. She teaches workshops, coaches individuals & couples, and facilitates corporate workshops.   We discuss the nine Enneagram types, what motivates people in each category, and the corresponding fears associated with each type, which can lead to blind spots or self-sabotaging. Once you know your Enneagram type, you can use that knowledge as a beautiful map to self-awareness and personal growth. Your type also provides insight into how you communicate and interact with others.   Abbi and I would love to know what you connected with from today's episode and what Enneagram types resonated with you.
