This is The Daily Strike with your host, Tanner Price, where our mission is impact and our medium is commitment. Today on the show, we're talking about communication and how it can make or break your relationships. I hope you enjoy the show. What is going on, guys?

Happy Friday. Glad to be with you. We're going to dive right in. Recently, now tell me if, I mean, give me some sort of feedback, right?

DM me, email me, just put your hands in the air, whatever you got to do, and tell me if this is something that occurs for you. There are times when I feel like the world or the universe or God is trying to just send me a message, right? A theme or a pattern begins to arise in my life, and I don't quite get it one time, two times, three times, fourth, fifth, sixth time. I'm like, oh my gosh, this is the same issue all the way through, right?

Recently, it has come powerfully to me that communication is key to relationships, right? And I knew that, but didn't know that, right? Like to this place in my being, more than just like knowing in my head epistemologically, but experiencing that communication is so powerful. It's powerful whether it's executed on or not.

It's going to affect you and create your life one way or the other. And so it's your responsibility, if you want, you know, good relationships, healthy relationships to learn how to communicate both your stance and your feelings and how to understand and feel communication and experience the communication of theirs. So I'm going to jump into it, right? I had an experience recently where with my family, we were not very communicative growing up.

We didn't share very many feelings. And some things came up in my family that I was, I decided, you know what? I need to speak up and I need to express my feelings in a kind way, right? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I'm going to say some things that are uncomfortable here.

And I went about making that intentional decision, not because I was trying to stir the pot, right? I think there's this saying in the world and we come up with these different things like, oh, he's just trying to stir the pot. He's just trying to make a mess out of all this. He's just making mountains out of molehills or whatever, right?

No, it's a healthy thing to communicate. No matter how you need to communicate, it's healthy to do so. And what's happened is as I did that, I experienced a lot of shame. A lot of this like, wow, you didn't have to do that.

You could have just held your tongue and you wouldn't create this mess for all of us. Well, the truth of the matter is that it was already a mess, right? It was already a mess. We just shoved it in the closet.

And so as I communicated this, yeah, it stirred the pot, but it feels refreshing to align myself with my authenticism and share those feelings. And I'm starting to see in that relationship with my family, right? Like my sibling family. Well, I see it in my relationship with my wife or with my coworkers or with my friends or with somebody I meet.

The more authentic we can be in our communication, the more we can really relate, that we can share our feelings in a kind, understanding way. And we can hear theirs the same, the better our relationships will be. And guys, this is not easy. I don't even have advice on you on it for you today.

All I want today is to encourage you to go and have a hard conversation that you've been putting off somewhere in your life, right? Whether it be your best friend, your spouse, your parent, anywhere, your boss, go have a hard conversation. And on the other side of it, you'll realize that that was one of the best conversations you could ever have for yourself. Because it's the hard conversations that produce fulfillment.

It's the difficult things to say that have the most return. Go have a hard conversation today, guys. I'm planning to do the same. I have done the same.

And I'm going to continue to do the same. I'm committed to living a healthy and fulfilled life. And I invite you to commit to it with me. Guys, have a great weekend.

And I look forward to talking to you next week on the show.
