#63 Our NICU Experience

In today’s episode of Life Unleashed, we talk about our NICU experience. When we were preparing for Callan’s birth we never expected that we would have to deal with him going to the NICU. We had mentally prepared for many other scenarios, mainly having to do with the birth but for some reason, the NICU didn’t cross our mind. We want to share our experience in the hopes of helping someone who might end up in the same situation. After going through this experience we found that the best thing you can do is to not worry too much about all the what ifs or worst things because ultimately anything can happen but rather be prepared and know they are possibilities while not living in fear. Bringing a child into the world is an amazing experience and shouldn’t be clouded by fear. We found a lot of peace listening to other's stories before our own birth experience and therefore want to share our own in the hopes that it gives someone the same peace we found. So much of the anxiety and fear comes from the unknown and the more you know the better prepared you are. With that said, let’s jump into another episode of Life Unleashed.
