Virginie Chan, the creator of Roam Rhino, was born in France as a daughter of two Cambodian refugees and genocide survivors. Inspired to travel as young adult, she went to Morocco where she experienced racism, leaving her trip to unfold in unexpected ways. Over time she learned how important it is to visit places where she is part of the majority for that soothing sense of belonging.
