65. Challenging cognitive dissonance - AFK (Norway)

from Splatrs' Street Art Unearthed Hosted by Stephanie O'Brien

AFK is a Norwegian artist who's spent 10 years producing art on the street that directly faces social issues and challenges the views of his audience. In his street art career, he has advocated heavily for freedom of speech, climate action, freedom of the press and other issues in need of a voice. On the podcast today, we talk about where he gets his inspiration and how it is to put art into the world that has to both attract viewers and also challenge their views. Raising political topics naturally results in some interesting dialogue, and AFK is not short on stories about the impact of and reactions to his street art.
