65. Hell on Earth, Mets in Los Angeles

from Hits Different

Many horrible things have happened. It's 90 degrees in April. We're without David. We're sweating. We're upset because the Mets won't stop losing. You would think at some point they would win because of a fluke, but they haven't. This week on Hits Different, Ellen and Kait mostly discuss their physical and emotional discomfort. Brett Baty is the only qualified hitter left in MLB who has yet to record a walk, and we were there to see him almost record one but then have it taken back by ABS. (I, Kait, am now anti-ABS.) Three Mets struck out on 10 pitches in the 9th inning of a one-run game even though only 2 of those pitches were in the strike zone. We received a surprisingly moving and delightful voice note from an avowed Atlanta Braves fan? Nothing's right. Everything's wrong. Jared Young is having knee surgery! We'll probably go to every single game when the Mets get back to New York. We should be with them in their darkest hour. Let's go Mets! Write to us at [email protected] Hosted on Acast.
