#66 - S3-E17 - The USA Turns 250: Sisters' Footprints Along the Journey

The USA had recently been founded and these young religious Sisters sailing from Europe had no certainty about the future of their mission in this new land. They had no money, no possessions, no knowledge of the English language—and there was no turning back. They were leaving family, homeland, and all that was familiar in order to fulfill their God-given calling. Yet who could ever have imagined how Divine Providence would bless their sacrifice, and what an impact these young Sisters would have on the development of this new country? And what, we might ask, are the timeless lessons for those discerning a religious or priestly vocation today? JoinSr. Paul and Sr. Carolyn from the Little Sisters of the Poor as they unpack the enduring truth of how radical sacrifice is unfailingly met by God’s Divine Providence, making possible an amazing human and spiritual fruitfulness that defies logic.
