In this episode, we're gonna be talking about the new type of video, like video from Stubby Walker, video from Five Dixon, and we've got a special guest appearance by Plock. It's all good mate, are we? It's sunny, isn't it? It's sunny, I don't know what I'm talking about, but I'm talking about it, it's the first thing that we're talking about, but it's pretty nice today. It's weirdly nice, it's been fucking miserable, and today is yesterday, quite nice.
Before we get into anything, let's just talk about a few Instagram clips that we've been throwing into each other. I've got a little bit of a fetish with credit cards at the moment. If you're not one of our skateboard listeners, then a credit card is basically where the board falls vertically at the same time as you, and then you proceed to straddle that vertical board, and then as the board hits the ground, you carry on moving down, and get a boot shot or a boot shot or an R shot mate, many types of a credit card going about. But what I'm saying is, I've sent a few into the boys, and I'm enjoying them.
There's been quite a few, but there's some really good ones, there are some really good ones. I'm not one of these sad, masochistic people that are into all that sort of shit, but come on now, seeing some La Tran do like a burial flip off like a loading bay, and you know, you know, he's filming himself. He's filming himself. I haven't got his name or anything that unfortunately.
I'm not going to give him a show or anything, but he's just pitching this, flat on loading bay from the back of a shop or something like that, on his own industrial district of some sort of sea. He's there. He's propped his phone up anyway. Or maybe he's got a little handy cam, maybe he's set up an old mini DV handy cam, you know, flat, just facing it, just facing it flat on.
Probably not the best angle, but then again, it's a good angle for a credit card, isn't it? Yeah, it's almost set up for the credit card. Like the kickflip or whatever he was going for would have been shit, but it was perfect for the credit card. Yeah, I mean, you're not you're not going to credit card on purpose, are you?
It's just not you're not doing that. But yeah, this lad, I don't know. Yeah, he's got a kickflip, very flip, can't really tell, but he just he just he bottles it early. You know, I mean, bottles it early.
And the board just perfectly just just just just just turns, you know, like, you know, you're fucking about a Photoshop and you're doing a little rotation or accidentally just rotates for you. The board just rotates perfectly to go vertical and then he proceeds to just sink into that motherfucking board. And I tell you right now, you know, first hand experience, you know, we've got a good credit card on me on camera, aren't we, mate? You know, I mean, you've got a classic yeah, a couple of you classic photo of me, the law library steps that Tom Penny famously hit in S me, but I'm kind of jumping off the block to the side.
Got a nice kickflip in the end, but one of them, mate was a good old credit card, wasn't it? It was. Yeah, I was a thing of beauty. You have to dig that out and find that.
Yeah, we should think that out. I mean, to be fair, it was more like a groin meaty upper leg. So I didn't, you know, didn't, didn't, didn't boot me if it did or, you know, hit my balls or my arse. It would have been, I don't think I'd have got a kickflip when I think that'd have been the end of the day right there.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, this lad perfect credit card. And my favourite thing about it is the fact that he's trying to say like, once the impact hit, he's still trying to like tip toe his way out of it, you know, like he's trying to extend himself and trying to get his pitch off on the board.
It's like, it's already done, son. I know it's, it's like a, it's a reaction, isn't it? But it's all the damage is already done. It doesn't matter if you, if you try it.
It's not bad. Yeah. So that was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't have this lad's name.
I, it's one of those things where you just, I just scream record of it. Just like it was on someone's story and you can, it's, it's hard to kind of share on it, you know, straight into WhatsApp. So I just kind of did a little scream record for that one. What was the other one, mate?
Because it was a nice one. I'm just trying to scroll through now, unless you've got it in front of you. Yeah, I got it. The guy who tries to ollie down like a skinny tenset or something.
And he kicks it away. Or no, he doesn't quite kick it away, but he somehow comes away from the board. And lands at the bottom of the stairs. Credit card.
Yeah. Yeah. It's a cool drop. It's a good one, isn't it?
It's a great day, really, you know, credit card that is in, in my book. I've just got it here in front of me now. Oh, damn. That's the board as well.
Let me just play the audio for everyone at home. And yeah, I think who did I, who I've watched this on someone's, on someone's story and they've just put the caption, Oh, my Lord. And it was, because it was Oh, my Lord, it was holy. But let me just play this.
Let me just play the audio because the snap in sound you're going to hear at the end of this little clip is the board snapping under the pressure of his ass, you know, pressing that seven ply into the concrete. Let's just have a little go at this. So yeah, that's snapping sound. Let's just go back.
That snapping sound is perfect. Perfect credit card. Again, I haven't got the old boys Instagram handle or anything like that, but fair played here, but there's no clip afterwards. They weren't a clip afterwards, you know, they weren't the Ollie, they weren't the Ollie make after the credit card.
But then again, mate, that's a bit of clip. Right. He's going to go down in animals or credit card history is one of the greatest credit cards of all time. Am I right?
Oh, that is that is definitely up there. I mean, he was just trying on Ollie as well. So yeah, granted I've never only that big of a set. Fuck that.
You don't need to make it. There's no need of that because you're going to, you know, be on your board as you land. Let me just play the video one more time, everyone. Damn.
Yeah, he got a good. It looked to me if I'm going to get my credit card kind of degree out my pocket right now and just going to break it down, if you will. I would say that's a proper, proper, either mid ball, one bollock or kind of dick shot. It was in a meaty bit, wasn't it?
It was in a, it was way, didn't want it to be. I don't think it was asked because he's going to grab him more frontside and backside. If we're using a skate turn module, he's going to grab a frontside, not back though, I think. Yeah, when you land.
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think I prefer an R shot than mid, you know, center ball or anything like that. Wouldn't you? Oh, yeah, you don't want a ball shot. No, the ball shot.
You're not going to get up from that for a while. No, and you know, if you've had, you know, laser gentlemen, if you've had a credit card before, you get a good old bruise there that lasts for a week, two weeks or thing, you know, nice purple kind of strip, wherever that credit card is in certain swiped, you know, you're going to get the old purple bruise. That might have, I mean, where's he getting bruised? Because that could be all the wrong places.

Let's jump into a video that you watch and I haven't watched, and it's said I walk his nine days video. It's, you know, probably released a couple of weeks ago now. Can't remember, let me just try and get the caption that you kind of sent alongside this. It kind of went along the lines of, wouldn't worry about it.
If you got it in front of you, but it was pretty much that sort of that sort of ilk. Here we go. Here we go. So John O'Nash on the 17th of May, sends in on a Monday.
First thing, obviously, you know, he's glockin' in for work, gettin' his shit done. And the sends in, seven walk is nine days part, right? Thinking, you know, normally when you send something in, it's like a credit card or a nice part. And John O'Nash puts this in.
I wouldn't rush to watch this one. It's all over the place. Not sure what the point of it is. Now, let's, let's do a lab break for listeners, mate, because that's, you know, we know you're the harshest critic.
You know, everyone knows that. If you didn't know, John O'Nash will give you a two. If you've just had 30 seconds too long or the credits weren't right or the music, I mean, if the music's wrong, which we're gonna delve into something in a minute, where the music was wrong, John O'Nash is gonna be, I'm sure he's gonna be aggressive on his approach on this one. But, yeah, elaborate on your, it wouldn't rush to watch this one.
It's all over the place. Not sure what the point of it is. Comment about seven walkers. No, it's not a case, mate.
Maybe I won't take him in this one, but anyway, carry on. It's just, it starts off. I mean, some of the skating is really good, but it's the production that goes with it. It's just really inconsistent.
There's a shit song for half the part, just someone like groaning over the top of it. And then like half way through, he gets a kind of, it kind of changes the tone and then goes to New York City, and there's another credit sequence there. It's just like, wait, so was this, it's only a five minute part I wanna add? So he's getting a kind of mid video credit sequence.
That's like, oh, yeah, that was just the warm up. Yeah, it's just all over the place. The editing doesn't make sense. The song doesn't work with it.
I just feel like that's a lot of good footage gone to waste. I've just gone up in front of me now. There are some really nice tricks in there. He hits like a trail, like a crispy trail of a curb to nose manning and whoopsies it down like a six there or something, which is a really nice clip.
And somebody's clipped, so looking pretty raw, beautiful front stuff. They're playing for a classic spot. Some really nice shit here, mate, but obviously I ain't got the audio on. Yeah, you probably better off watching it in silence.
You just, you need to watch it with, you only need 10 seconds of it and you'll get it, but yeah, it's just, it didn't do anything for me. I forgot I'd watched it. When you mentioned, let's talk about it. My initial instinct was the same, I haven't seen it.
See, there's some really, yeah, the clips I'm seeing, mate, are pretty solid. I will have to give it a second opinion and actually give it a proper watch. Because there's some really nice shots here, really nice kind of, really nice skating, solid tricks selection, apart from you just did like a wall right, like a hand flip, a hand grab flip, or bonus flip, wall right, which was offensive if I'm going to break it down. Any backs up with a nice kick flip down a stair set.
So, you know, let's just get that trick selection sorted there. Because, you know, you know, you're like me, John, a nice, booshy kick flip down a stair is perfect, right? Yeah. So, you know, you're like, I'm going to do a little bit of a hand flip and it, you know, going down the wall, you're just making it a bit messy.
Yeah, there's a time and place for that and he doesn't have that time and place. Yeah, I'm not too sure if there is a time and place for it either. Right, so I haven't watched it properly, so I can't give a turbo rating. John, hit me with a turbo rating, mate, what are you going for?
It's going to be a two for me. Skating on its own is worth a four. So, that's the only reason he's getting a two. But just the production, the final product.
You're like the arsehole host on all like the celebrity, like, what was it? And then you come dancing and stuff like that. But it's always one of them that gets booed by people and he always gives the underhanded kind of little comment alongside his, he'll give you a two. I can appreciate it, mate.
I'm not going to knock your expertise on breaking down videos. You know, you've done enough of them. So, and you've given five out. So, I can't, you know, yeah, it's not like I couldn't give high scores.
They just, they have to be well deserved. Exactly. Right. Okay.
So that's a two for a seven walker there. Let's move on. Let's just move a video that's come out pretty recently, maybe even today. So, it's type booth that the video is called security level.
Now, if you haven't heard of type booth, they are a Japanese brand. I actually didn't think they were a board company. I still don't. Yet there's, they're all riding type booth boards.
Now, I thought it was, so basically type booth in a nutshell. You've got Shimpay, you know, and he's a skater for everson, mate. Oh, okay. And this is his company.
So, I'm just, I couldn't quite work it out. Is this, you know, just motherfucker? Cause I thought it was a, in a parallel, you know, kind of like a, more of like a high end sort of thing, you'd get a Dover street market, that sort of deal. You know, he's probably into his fashion and was wears some nice baggy trails with like a print all, you know, all the way over.
I mean, those are nice shirts that you would appreciate as well, mate. So nice kind of like out there, Hawaiian kind of resort shirts, if you will, oversized. Yeah, the fact that they're all having boards, you know, had type of boards, kind of confused me. I was like, is this motherfucker leaving ever soon?
Or is he just, you know, just a little mini side project that you like to work on? But what were your first sports, mate? So, you know, 352 is what you're saying. I really enjoyed it.
Just quite raw and just, it looks like just a group of mates. Just fucking about, but handling business at the same time. Yeah, exactly, I had the exact same thoughts. And also what I liked about it, if we're talking about a production point of view, is that they had a gimmick and they kind of stuck to it.
They had a theme. It's not the most interesting effect of all time. It's like this wavy shit, but they use it throughout the video consistently. So therefore you're kind of invested.
You get it. You already get it, don't you? So you must appreciate that as an editor, mate. You know, the whole just stick into a theme.
Yeah. And the fact that it's used, like you said, consistently throughout the part and a lot. So like all the kind of cutaways have that. And it kind of goes with the song as well, the music, because it has this weird, like, sweep of a base kind of note.
It kind of goes down and up. And it goes with that. Yeah. So I thought it matched the music perfectly.
If you're interested in it, go and check out. I've seen it on thrashermagazine.com type of productions, security level video, came out on 25th of the 5th, 2021. It's something, you know, mate, I just said to you before we went on air, easy watch, right? Really easy watch.
And it's just good clips, just, you know, just nice, easy, enjoyable clips and not your saying, homies in it. It's just mates knocking about together and just getting shit done, getting a few good clips. It was enjoyable. Oh, it's super enjoyable.
It's not even a four minute video. You could watch that, like, just on the loon and not know what would question you. Watch the video. If you're going to watch a 15 minute one, you're starting to take the piss a little bit.
But you can get away with that. Well, yeah, exactly. It makes your poo nice. If you're just sitting down, we may.
Just go over a sit down. It's only four minutes. You don't have to go sit down. Just, you know, if it comes, it comes, but don't, you don't.
It's easy in it. Easy job. Exactly. Yeah.
So let's give this a turbo rating. I'm going to give it for just a single nice piece of media, mate. I'm giving it a solid three. Just work for me.
You can't obviously give it a four because there's not operational on tricks in there. But it was decent. I really enjoy it. So I'm giving it three.
I can't, you know, you can't give that a two if it's kind of ticking boxes. I don't think. No, it's definitely a three. I kind of do want to give it a four, but I just like, there's not, there's almost enough decent tricks in there.
Almost. But I think, yeah, it's a three. So, yeah, yeah, I mean, we've got a soft spot for Japanese skating, how they kind of work the architecture, just find little cheeky spots to knock about with. It goes a long way, you know, getting the clip at the right spot is everything.
And these are boys are kind of picking the right spots out. I even kind of wanted it to be, you know, at the start of this video, they're just fucking about and like a little ramp next to a set. And, you know, clip, trip, live, and that sort of, I kind of hope that the whole video is just going to be at that spot. You know, that would have been a kind of nice little thing.
You know, they just stayed at that spot and everyone just, you kind of raised the bar each time, but that didn't happen. They finished off with quite a nice little backside nose blunt on like a sort of park bench or something. It was a nice clip. It was that night the film was holding the light in his other hand.
Or maybe it was the flash for the photographer. Yeah, that was a nice little clip. Yeah, it was nice. So yeah, solid three by the lads at type booth.
I don't know what's in this video, mate. We've got Clive Dixon's prying part or preen part, you know, like, well, I first read it. I think I'm probably not. But I don't even know what a prying is, but also I don't know what a preen is either.
So like, you know, fucking those, right in, let us know. I haven't checked out the Oxford Dictionary about this one, but, you know, don't know what that word is. Yeah. I mean, I would be inclined to say prying, but regardless, skating in it is super heavy.
He goes fast. He does some big shit. I don't think there's overly technical tricks in there. No, no, nothing, nothing super.
Yeah, nothing super. With Clive Dixon, you know what you're going to get. You know, he's got some big shit and he's definitely going to try and push it to the next level. And each of his videos, he's always done something.
You're like, fuck me, no one else has done that. No one else has done that. You know, like, what did he do at the Staples Center? Did he get a crop down that?
Was that a no's blunt or something? Where did he get down that? That's a hubber that rarely 50 value day. You got something big.
He was a nose blunt, wasn't it? That's a special move, isn't it? Yeah. He has one of those in here.
Yeah. But I think he has cropped it, but let's just say it's a nose blunt. He's pushing it any. That's a solid thing.
Yeah. One of the best pushes of all time mid line in that video, if you can remember. That's like the only thing I've got. Like in my head about that video part was just one, just kind of like aggressive, but efficient.
One push, one power push mate. When he did three push in two jab, just one kind of push to just set himself and carry him on, which I appreciate. Yeah, he does have a good push. I do want to want to talk about that nose blunt that he does in the video.
Yeah, go for it. Because it's fucking ridiculous, but it's not his ender. I don't think it should be his ender because the nose blunt, he does it. I mean, it was on Instagram, but he does it on this big green handrail.
It's massive and he's over it. He's on the wrong side of it. It's not iconic. You know what I mean?
It's an iconic kind of shot. It just looks right. It's big, big boy shit. And I'm completely with you mate.
When that happened, we hit the ground and you're thinking, fait that motherfucker, the black good dunson. Yeah, roll the credits without any fucking bullshit afterwards. I'm just going to put it out there, mate. Somebody's credit sequences.
Just fuck it off. Hit the ender and be done with it. We don't always have to see. Everyone's having to do the video just because they've got some footage and they can't be asked to cut it sometimes as an editor or a video director.
If they're shot in there, just get rid of it. If they don't work for you, don't keep it for the sake of it. You're going to have to have that part-to-heart with yourself and go, well, I really like it sentimentally, but it doesn't fit for the video. So get fucking rid of it.
You don't have to put all the shit afterwards. But yeah, I'm with you mate. The ender, 100% should have been that nose blunt. I'm going to say gimmicky very lightly because it wasn't gimmicky.
It wasn't gimmicky, the actual ender. The board slide was a little bit ropey at the end. If you don't want to talk about it, feel people in what I'm trying to break down there. The trick he was doing.
So he's always up to this ledge and then he does a hops onto a 50-50 on a round rail. Then there's another round rail after that. There's another 50 on. And then does he do a Smith onto the next one?
I thought it was just a 50. So a little 50s and then yeah, there's a 90 degree angle and he just sort of placed a little baby board slide on it and kind of comes out of it. Quite an ugly board slide as well if you might add. Yeah, I mean, you would never board slide that rail any other time.
You would never just take that on its own. And then even with the 350-50s beforehand, it's like, why? It's just one of those tricks that is really impressive. You know, someone's 50-50 and over a load of round rails, high round rails, but you're going to fuck yourself up on it.
So he's declaring it easy about that sort of fuck when it comes to balance. Could it have been the trick right to start a video make before music hits? Something like that. I mean, that board slide can hit on the music drop or something would have worked for me more.
That's a good shout. That would have worked a lot better. Yeah, well, Birdhouse, come on now. We've ever fucking made the video.
Turbo sports radio could be a consultancy to him. Just come and just ask us what we think first. Don't put it out there yet. Just ask us.
And then we'll tell you. And then you can re-edit the whole thing. Yeah, so anyway, mate, tell me right in. I'm going to give it a three.
Yeah, three spare heavy-hitting tricks, right? I think with a re-edit though, it could have got a four. I'll put that out there. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you there.
I think with a re-edit, deserve the four really for the MBDs in there. And we spoke about the music, mate. No, we haven't. Do you want to approach the A of grievances with the music?
Just like what? Why? Again, it's some weird country song about this couple falling out of love with each other. I think is what's happening.
Why is that going with this heavy skateboarding? I've got nothing against country music, but it's that particular song. It just does not do anything for the skating. No, I completely agree with you.
It's just a little bit off. We don't know the backstory of why he's picked it. It might be his favourite song. It might be, if you know him, it might kind of give you a bit more personality.
But then again, I don't fucking know him. I'm sitting here in and around Oxford as a you. We don't know. We don't know Clive Dixon.
So how the fuck am I supposed to know if this song is relevant to him or not? It doesn't give us anything. I don't think. What do we know, mate?
What do we know? The song was half the reason why it's getting that low mark. If that was a heavy hit song, mate, even without a re-edit, maybe just get rid of that fucking song and put something rally-esque in there. You might get four.
Easy. Easy for there. You probably could have got a re-edit, re-organised the clips and used the instrumental of that song. I think it would have worked.
If you've got a pinion on that, if you think we're talking shit, we're not talking shit on that one. I think we've got that down to a tee. Maybe don't write in a teller. We know we're right.
Now, Jon, you've been playing a Super Nintendo Classic recently. You've been having a little dabble with plock. Tell me about it. Your recent in Devos with plock.
You're enjoying a little motherfucker, whatever he is. I need to play it more because I don't know what the fuck is going on. But it plays well. It controls really nicely.
I did a little test today, which we'll probably touch on. I did the level and I wanted to play more. I'm very tempted to just plug away at that and just play through plock. I never thought I would do that.

Obviously, in Turbo Sports Radio episode number 58, I believe, plock versus claymates. The first question I led with was an ass, mat and Ben, what the fuck is plock? They both did the whole politician answer. They didn't actually answer the question.
They said what he does, where he lives. Can you answer the question? Do you want to talk about those age old questions that no one can answer? It's like the chicken and the eggs or thing.
What is plock? I cannot answer that for you. I'd like to be able to, but I have no idea what he is. When I watched or listened to that podcast, I had no idea what plock was.
Never heard of it, never seen it. Then playing it now, I'm still none the wiser as to what he is. Yeah, I mean, if you bounce that question back to me, I would do exactly the same as you. I don't have the magical answer.
I've got a clue. I mean, it's kind of like the weird thing is, when he fires his hands and feet off to attack enemies and get through different sections of the level, sometimes he loses a leg or something like that and he has to go and find it on a coat hanger. Why have you been playing plock, mate? Well, the reason I was playing plock was I was testing for a live stream that we plan on doing at some point, maybe end of this month of June, possibly. What platform are you talking about, mate? It will be on Twitch.

Yeah, it'd be like a super station episode and we'll do them, you know, not every kind of episode, but you'll get a nice big one.
Kind of like Turbo64, it'd be like a nice celebration episode. We'll be able to get William from Canada as well, we'll get him tuned into it. And it should be a decent way of presenting the whole Turbo Sports radio package to you. It should be a little bit more, a little bit more kind of interactivity and you'll be watching CL Good I Am At Plock.
Maybe in the first one, mate, we'll have a little go on Road Run as well. I'll try and bring my skills back. We'll queue him up, we'll get all the games that you've talked about, all these mediocre games, we'll get all those go in. And it'll be good, because people will be able to write in and let us know they're on the spot.
