African Proverb Pete Amara is the founder of Heritage Rags, a streetwear brand laced with African style, design, and vibrancy; and the co-founder of Chosen Joe Coffee Company, a veteran-owned handcrafted, fresh-roasted retail coffee company. Through his leadership and vision, Pete has propelled both companies to another level in their respective market segments. Pete graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1998. He also has an MBA from Amberton University in 2010, and a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University in 2012. Today, Pete’s purpose and passion lies in looking for new business opportunities and helping emerging entrepreneurs launch themselves in their preferred marketspace through mentorship and by cultivating trusted relationships.
