67 - Halloween (1978)

Odds and Ends: Recorder tangerine-belt T.J. is back with another banger; Internet Historian’s newest video “Man in Cave” is more history than internet, but roped T.J. in all the same; Vince Gilligan has a new show in the works, but to our chagrin it looks less Breaking Bad and more Battle Creek (which can never be a good thing if you know that place); Community’s long-awaited movie is coming, so we mostly just talk about Donald Glover (and T.J.’s personal beef with him, and also Nick’s personal beef with Yvette Nicole Brown… hey, maybe we need to work on ourselves a little, huh?) Feature film: We cover John Carpenter’s Halloween, one of the main progenitors of the slasher film! Or rather, we talk about the sequels, and other slasher movies, and y’know, obviously streaming services… mostly that other stuff. There’s not a whole lot to this movie. Not that that’s a bad thing! But yeah. Not “yeah” like “yeah, it’s bad,” but like “yeah, that’s true that there’s not a lot to it.” So… mhm. Don’t hurt us, Michael.
