67. Heard it on the Grapevine
from Hell No: A True Crime Podcast Hosted by Lauren Lucio
The body of a 40-year-old man is discovered in an abandoned parking lot in April of 2002. His body had been badly burned but dental records were able to steer police in the right direction and identified him. This man lived nearby in a town called Grapevine, he had been married and divorced twice, recently updated his life insurance policy and was going through a break up with his current girlfriend. The man was having financial problems and owed the IRS $100,000 in back taxes. Was the IRS the only people he owed money to? His girlfriend said that the man liked to go to Vegas to gamble and also purchase the services of sex workers. Security footage from a Grapevine shopping center gives police the insight they need to break the case, but with no physical evidence; will it be enough to get a conviction?
