Han har varit Fed Cup-coach 2006-2011, Davis Cup-kapten 2016-2017, tränat båda bröderna Ymer, haft en stor del i Johanna Larssons utveckling från junior till 157 i världen och så småningom topp 50. Johan är utbildad via högskolan, jobbat för Svenska Tennisförbundet under 18 år som nationell coach för 14-, 16- och 18-åringar och jobbar idag på tennisakademin Good to Great.
