67. Overcoming All Resistance In This Season

Have you ever heard the analogy about growth and the butterfly? We may have mentioned it on the show before, but it's always worth repeating. It may sound cheesy or oversimplified, but we can all learn powerful life lessons about growth and the process of transformation when we observe the caterpillar's journey. When the caterpillar is in the cocoon and is almost ready to come on the scene with their new wings, they have to go through a pretty rough season. In order to strengthen their new wings so they can soon fly, they must start pushing (and keep pushing) as hard as they can against the resistance of the cocoon so they will soon one day break out. Do you catch our drift? The point is, in order to spread our wings and fly to new heights, sometimes we first have to build up a little strength. The truth is, even though the growth process can be sticky and overwhelming, the harder the season is, typically the bigger the breakthrough is at the end. For the caterpillar and the butterfly, the next step in their growth process comes a little bit more naturally. For us, humans and entrepreneurs, "building our wings" and learning the tough lessons we need to succeed can be an emotional minefield and can leave you feeling more down in the dumps than flying high. We have experienced this many times in both life and business. Now we know, that when things start to feel hard that means breakthrough is right around the corner. Can you feel it? Recently, we have been talking to a few friends and our community in the Rainmaker Mastermind and we noticed that A LOT of people feel like this season of life has been a little bit harder than normal. For some, it has been a lot harder than normal.
