David Carpenter had a hard childhood. An abusive set of parents. And to top it all off, his mother made him take ballet class. He grew up to be a sadistic serial rapist and serial killer. He was convicted of 8 murders, and suspected of 2 others. But, I'm convinced there are more. Many more. His first murder was at 49 years old, and he had attempted murder many years before that. His victims were along the mountain trails in California, where he had easy pickings, and seclusion. He started off making bonehead mistakes. Many of them, any one of which would have gotten other serial killers caught. But, he learned from each mistake, and improved his technique. However, the murder that took him down, he made a whopper of a mistake. He was convicted, and sent to Death Row, and at 97 years old, he is the oldest person on California's Death Row.
