67- Weekly Updates (November 16-20, 2020)

Dear Parents, We’re going to have a great upcoming week. Below is a short description of what’s coming up and important links and/or announcements: Watch these announcements on video here. Mr. Gray’s Class Podcast Grades available on Parent Portal Friday the 20th After School Fantasy Reading Unit Information IUSD Face Coverings Guide Read These Books! (make a goodreads.com account with your child to help find books) Reader’s Workshop We will begin our Unit on Fantasy books that will take us through January. I have written down several thoughts about this unit that I hope you can ready through with your children here. Writer’s Workshop The kids will start a new unit: Narrative Craft. We will start off next week planning out ideas for personal narrative stories and then learning strategies to write better stories. Math Math Answers and Help Here The next few weeks will be dedicated to in Unit rates and Percentages. Here is a quick rundown of what we will be studying. Next week we will anchor our ideas about measurement and use our knowledge of solving ratio problems to convert measurements. History The kids will continue our study of Ancient Egypt.
