#68: Hormone Secrets

Today is all about hormones- especially those that impact your quality of life, performance and health.  Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) , specifically questions regarding menopause and testosterone replacement therapies, is one of the most commonly asked questions we get. HRT for menopause has been and still IS a widely debated issue. Will it cause heart disease and cancer or do hormones  actually help reduce risk factors and improve quality of life ? Understanding and supplementing women and men with HRT has been something that allopathic physicians struggle with doing well.  Dr. Robert Yoho is back as our guest today. He is a retired cosmetic surgeon with a 30 year career that also included prescribing hormones. He is the author of “Hormone Secrets” that explains his experience in using HRT and how it transformed patients’ lives. He believes that HRT is vastly underused, is generally safe when done correctly and that the health and quality of life benefits exceed most of the risks.
