Wie and warum hatte ich vor 17 Jahre Rahuls Ehe Vorschlag akzeptiert?! Rahul hatte mir im Juni 2006 am Telefon einen Heiratsantrag gemacht. Es kam so plötzlich, dass ich auf den Vorschlag völlig unvorbereitet war. Obwohl wir Klassenkameraden waren, hatten wir kaum miteinander gesprochen. Ein Vorschlag kam also definitiv nicht in Frage. Doch als es passierte, wusste ich nicht, was ich tun sollte. Ich habe damals nicht romantisch über Rahul nachgedacht. Allmählich wurde mir klar, dass seine Gefühle aufrichtig waren. Ich dachte, ich sollte mehr mit ihm reden und versuchen, ihn zu verstehen. Wir begannen viel zu reden und konnten bald über alles unter dem Himmel reden, egal wie schwierig das Thema war.
