Maryam Amir Muslim Central Maryam Amir is the creator of the free app Qariah: The Women Quran Reciters App, available on Google Play and Apple stores. She received her master’s in Education from UCLA, focusing her research on the effects of mentorship rooted in Critical Race Theory for urban high school students of color. Maryam holds a second bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University and has memorized the Qur’an. Over the past 15 years, she has studied in Egypt and extensively researched various Islamic sciences, including Quranic exegesis, Islamic jurisprudence, Prophetic narrations, and women’s rights within Islamic law.In addition to her academic and religious pursuits, Maryam Amir is the host of the Quran Champions series on Islam Channel and has been interviewed by major news outlets such as BBC, NPR, and CBS.
