69: How to be a Nasty Woman

from Shameless Leadership · host Sara Dean

Know Thy Triggers.   I say this to my gym members all the time. You have to know what triggers you, if you want to really own the heck out of your life. Knowing your triggers allows you to say yes to the right things and no to the wrong things. Knowing your triggers helps you identify what you want to fight for and what fights are a waste of your time.    Last week I put up a fight. A couple times.    I defended my child.   I defended all women.   Then I wrote a manifesto.    At the end of the week, I came to see there are things I will always fight for. There are people I will always defend, even if I take a beating in the process.    I know what’s right for ME.    I hope this episode helps you define what’s right for YOU.   Here’s my manifesto:   Nasty Woman Manifesto   Stand for women Stand for children  Stand up to bullies Take the high road Where there is not a path, create one When you listen, truly hear Share Fight for the underdog Don’t back down Work for the greater good Connect Do not fear your enemy Challenge the status quo Empower the powerless  Pay your fair share   Will you do yourself a favor and write your manifesto? You can use any of mine you want to get you started!    Send me your manifestos to: [email protected]. I would love to share some other Shameless Moms’ manifestos on an upcoming podcast!   Learn more about your ad choices.
