# 69: Still Beautiful-Interview w/ Kelly Falardeau
from Intellectual Freedom Podcast · host David D. Hopkins, PhD
Over 75% of Kelly's body was severely burned in a freak accident when she was two years old. Her life was forever changed at that moment. It led to over 40 painful surgeries.Because her scars were so profound and visible, she was often bullied, shunned, and avoided. People were uncomfortable around her. As she grew up, this lead to not feeling wanted, needed, or even loved. The scars ran deep physically and psychologically. Her story is one of overcoming immense obstacles, but ultimately a self-discovery of learning to love herself to become the person she was meant to be. She learned not to be defined by external appearance or the tragedy that happened to her. Instead, she now uses her tragedy to bring light and hope to others. In this podcast, I discuss her journey from a near-death experience and burn victim-survivor to a 5x best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and life coach that has helped thousands to overcome their own limiting beliefs and challenges.Send us Fan MailFollow the Intellectual Freedom Podcast on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61581532813468 X : https://x.com/Int_Freedom_podLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/intellectual-freedom-podcast
