6S ep. 10: Rapper , Trust BS, learns improv live on the show.

This week we continue our summer project, 6S: Some Suggestions Sometimes Summer School Series. Each week this summer, on #NoSuggestionPod, we'll have on a performer, usually a comedian, with very little long-form improv experience. Me, and a few of past No Suggestion guests, all seasoned improv comedians, will give that guest a private improv class live on the show. It's a cypher in the studio this week as we welcome rapper, educator, and founder of Freestyle Fitness, BS (@trustbs)! Co-host Christopher Morucci (@christophermorucci), and guest co-host, Mark Melton (@swugmark), and I get to chat with BS about how he teaches people how to rap, the difference between short-form and long-form improv, comparing improv scenes to songs, and how Freestyle Fitness (@freestylefitnessnyc) employs cohort based learning. We also get to do a few improv scenes with BS. We really get to dissect each scene, and we also try to employ a few notes, trying some scenes over again after getting adjustments. There's some great gems in this episode about improv, comedy in general, and the parallels between improv and rapping.
