6S, ep 3: NYC stand-up comedians, Max and Nicky, learn improv live on the show.

from No Suggestion: An Improv Comedy Talk Show · host Ralf Jean-Pierre

Hello! This week with our wonderful guests Max and Nicky Weinbach (@maxandnicky), we continue our new summer project, 6S: Some Suggestions Sometimes Summer School Series. Each week, on this #NoSuggestionPod series, we'll have on a performer, usually a comedian, with very little long-form improv experience. A few of past No Suggestion guests, all seasoned improv comedians, and I, will give that guest a private improv class live on the show. Co-hosts Christopher Morucci (@christophermorucci), Anthony Brophy (@anthonybroph), and I, had a fantastic time with twins Max and Nicky, on this episode. We get a bunch of improv scenes in, and use those scenes to work on some different improv skills, like playing patterns, and playing with emotion. We also manage to get some wonderful conversation in and learn so much about Max and Nicky's passion for playing music, for the theater, and how those passions led them to their stand-up careers, and we get to learn some cool stuff about twin life. We're really enjoying this 6S summer series where we get to exploit the incredible mass of knowledge about improv comedy all our past #NoSuggestionPod guests hold. If you're curious about improv comedy, or comedy in general, how it works, and how to do it, this 6S series just for you. Enjoy this episode. You can learn more about Ralf, his comedy, his music (as Precious Gorgeous), his acting, his teaching, this podcast, find full episodes of this podcast, and more at preciousgorgeous.com! No Suggestion: An Improv Comedy Talk Show is broadcast LIVE on Radio Free Brooklyn (@radiofreebk) every Thursday night at 11pm. Please subscribe, rate, and leave a review, that really helps us out.
