Seres Istvan [@Istvan_A_Seres] explains the four privacy guarantees that the Bitcoin Lightning Network seeks to offer. First, non-announced private channels should not be clustered to the node. Second, the channel balance should not be known by the adversary. Third, if the attacker is part of the route, he should not learn origin and destination of the payment.
