Carrie & Ben also discuss their favorite memories of 4th of July past from fireworks to food and more. The duo then gets into “Something Juicy” speaking on the biggest headlines from the news cycle overnight starting with the announced WNBA expansion with 3 teams set to join the league by 2030 in major sports cities, a heroic father who dove in and saved his daughter who fell off a Disney Cruise, a Britain man charged with attempting to stage a marriage with a 9 year old girl at Disneyland Paris, along with Drake making headlines for his seemingly surgically enhanced abs after a new photo surfaces online. Later in the hour, Carrie & Ben share audio of a mother urging her son to avoid working a job to not affect her government assistance and section 8 benefits, telling her son “The government got us”. Carrie & Ben ask who’s fault is this common mindset & if people in general have become too dependent upon government assistance and aid in general opposed to working hard to change their scenario.
