He has stated that he is willing to spend up to $100 million in his attempt to becme the next president of these United States. Mr. Steyer has a very stringent green agenda, yet he made his initial fortune in fossil fuels. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed a bill that would federal lawmakers to see Preisdent Trumps New York state tax returns. Joshua Sharf joins Kim in discussion of Colorado’s Pubic Employees’ Retirement Association (PERA). He recently wrote an article titled, "PERA’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year". Public officials say tax rebates and other incentives are worth the cost because of the resulting increase in jobs, commerce, and tax revenue. But it could also bring new competition to existing businesses–a competition that our very own government uses to pick winners and losers. Deals like this mean small mom-and-pop shops continue to carry the full tax burden while the big rich new guy gets a break. Is this fair?
