7/11/25 4PM: “Triggered”

from Truth In The Afternoon with Dr. Ken Harris · host Dr. Ken Harris

This Friday begins with Dr. Ken Harris showing his support for fallen officer Kendall Corder by dawning a blue outfit & unpacking his thoughts and reluctancy to speak on the situation due to his history as an MPD Lieutenant. He tells a story of a time he responded to an entry in progress and how his “tunnel vision” almost led to an enormous mistake, along with other moments he experienced working the streets of Milwaukee. Dr. Ken speaks on the somber mood of the day, & his thoughts on the experience he hopes no officer faces along with their family like Kendall Corder will on this day. Later into the hour Dr. Ken poses a question to his producer Glenn about the “Niagra Movement”, founded in 1905 by a group of African American intellectuals, including W. E. B. Du Bois and William Monroe Trotter and his shock that most people had not ever heard of it to begin with, along with what the movement changed going forward for the better in America.
