7/11/25 7AM: Stand For Something or Fall For Anything

from Truth in The Morning · host Milwaukee Black Media

This Friday starts off rough for Carrie as she’s having a bad hair day & calls on her fellow Black women who can relate to the struggle of having a hairstyle not turn out as intended, along with Ben sharing his experiences with his hair which leads into a story about customer service and communicating your needs. The duo then gets into “Something Juicy” and unpack the biggest stories of the last 24 hours which included Justin Bieber’s album rollout as fans call it the most personal project of his career, the return of the McDonald’s snack wrap and the A.I generated response from Popeyes sparking controversy online, along with Derrick Dixon speaking out for the first time since his complaint of unwarranted sexual advances from Actor & Director Tyler Perry. Further into the hour Carrie & Ben discuss popular streamer Kai Cenat and his group AMP facing backlash for their “Tone” product reaching Target shelves amid the boycott due to DEI rollbacks. With Duke Dennis of the group speaking out and calling out the hypocrisy with others still showing up to the stores in droves, Carrie & Ben ask Truth Nation are we not as united as we should be in the boycott or is it not as big of a deal as we originally made it?
