Why would God inspire so many different writers in so many different places over so many years to write down what He Himself was authoring? He gave each one of those writers a sense of purpose about the mission to which He was calling them. And sometimes we can see what they hoped would be accomplished. And then sometimes, the writer just comes right out and tells us. John does that. He gives us Reasons for Writing.
