Unfortunately, it's no protection for professors in this political moment as Moira Finkelstein found out when she lost her tenured job as an anthropologist at Muhlenberg College over an Instagram Story that was critical of Zionism. Zionism is an ideology, not a religion, and many Jews, including Dr. Finkelstein, are critical of it. But that didn’t stop her from being labeled antisemitic.
