Blair reports on the start of the usual political rhetoric (Dems: "more gun control/ban assault rifles," Reps: "2nd amendment protection/laws won't stop criminals,") in DC following shooting events in Chicago and Philadelphia over the Independence Day weekend. VP Harris is calling for renewal of the assault weapon ban, and for Congress to have the courage to take action. Expect this to be a major campaign point for mid-term elections.
