Hour two of Truth In The Afternoon kicks off with Dr. Ken’s Top 5 @ 5 which focuses on the stories you need to know about locally & nationally which included organizers on behalf of the National Baptist Convention (NBCUSA), one of the largest Black church groups in the country, asking the organization to return Target’s $300,000 donation amid DEI rollbacks, A Confederate group suing Georgia officials over plans to debut an exhibit focusing on white supremacy, slavery, and segregation at Stone Mountain Park, and the Carnival Cruise Line coming under fire after implementing a series of new onboard policies that feel targeted towards Black Passengers along with other stories in the news cycle. Dr. Ken ends the show with a mention of famed civil rights figure Medgar Evers who would have been 100 on July 2nd, along with other civil rights figures like MLK, Malcolm X & President Robert F. Kennedy who were assassinated before they could see change take place in America. Dr. Ken asks Truth Nation what if anything at all has really changed in this time period?
