The new series featuring Team and Para GB athletes aiming for Tokyo 2020 in 2021 In this podcast series, from Anything but Footy, we speak to Team GB and Para GB athletes preparing for Tokyo 2020 in 2021, following the historic delay to the Games because of the coronavirus pandemic. Adam Gemili won gold and silver medals at World Championship level as part of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland 4x100m relay squads, but after finishing 4th at the 2016 Olympic Games and then again at the 2019 World Championships in Doha over 200m, he is targeting an individual medal and believes he is very capable of winning the gold. Lockdown was difficult for sportsmen and women who were unable to compete and earn money and, in association with Nationwide Building Society and their Start to Save campaign, Adam tells us how having some savings helped him to build a gym at home to continue training.
