This weekend we continue in our series called "FAITH THAT'S NOT DEAD". In this series we are working our way through the book of James. Jesus' half brother was a pastor of the church in Jerusalem working with the Jewish Christians in the new movement of Jesus. This week we move into chapter 4 where James addresses the hearts of the people regarding their loyalties and affections. He challenges them to resist the pull of the world to fall in love with it, follow it, and be attached to it. The truth is that we are given this life to live it to the fullest. The truth is only as we put God first, love Him and live for Him can we learn to truly live this life to the fullest. Our hearts are drawn to the world and what it has to offer. This temptation is strong and getting our heats and minds to focus on God and live for Him is always a struggle. This week we are challenged to resist the pull of the world by ensuring our Faith is Alive. With a faith that is alive we are constantly maintaining our hearts when they get drawn into a desire for the world and what it has to offer.
