#7 Nyjah Huston - 'til Death breakdown

Right so issue number seven the long-awaited issue number seven I think the last update was around August so it's been a little bit higher you know we've been busy you know so this issue we're gonna be talking Nigel strictly Nigel today and just looking at his video part till death I'm still death the night apart yeah so we're gonna have a little look at that and just yeah just shoot a breeze on that really maybe there might be a couple other little subjects up there we'll find out yeah here we go okay so Nigel mate Nigel we've been wild what you got I mean it's a long video 11 minutes it's pretty decent for I think he only filmed for like a year so pretty good going to get that much footage and it's all with Ty so it's time to be a busy guy hmm where Ty's had the other video not we are flirting with the cameras and everything flat off and somehow found time to film Nigel in the middle for that but I mean it's a good video it starts off strong starts off with a bail a little about yeah I mean I'm in the front 50 what was he going back 50 is that we back 50 yeah do I can we sell people right in the last night I don't think even lands it doesn't he doesn't let him go back to that he slips down the rail yeah he's like doing the whole yeah just trying to do it with a seat rail and for maybe that's what he's trying maybe there was a board at the bottom of that rail yeah he was trying to land on some new gensies yeah exactly no confidean as well exactly yeah you got a lot more footage so yeah I mean nice little nice little you know the music kind of anticipation is that we'll be able to pick up these up sounds it's kind of getting you in there first line straight away he's in as well he's doing what nice crispy tray fucking what does it happen yeah either way of it and then hits up the front of the rail down to that little bank so it's nice and then there's the front people to manual in the bank yeah yeah yeah so that's nice way to start in it yeah like to see you know lines to show in like yeah I got this but that's a good selection of lines throughout the whole video he doesn't you don't normally see lines from neither yeah I think he's got more in terms of his of his lines I think he's probably got a few more like he could do some like a miles over shit he could do some real oh yeah I just got that he's that consistent that he could do some crazy and I just think we need to we need to go say what it needs to go there back to line well just not necessarily super line yeah super lines if these guys are that consistent let's start them up if you know the weather's the the stairs I know it's easy said and done they know what a fucking stairs it is start up the road somewhere go around the block do it you get a friendship off a curb yeah you can even get off your board and run and yeah back on that's all right like as long as you keep the meter going yeah exactly yeah exactly keep that times three or the special meter which again you want to talk about you know what ever against I suppose Tony Hawk's video games aren't even relevant any currently so especially me it's gone over a lot of people's head yeah exactly so the multiply yeah so keep that my going okay yeah just need some longer line I just think no I just he's got it yeah he can do that yeah if you're winning 20 street leaks you are consistent so you can you can get some super lines together there's a cheeky cheeky little combo trickway is a might be a front feeder smith down onto like a loading bay and then you front no slides on the bin yeah that's nice that's one of my favorite things in there this is that's a beefy old business well you don't want to step out that's a steep handrail if you that second angle of it where it shows the actual line that thing is stupid yeah he don't like up on that so no he didn't come on now right give me your give me your opinion on the song they make it's been a you know prior prior to recording you've been quite verbal about it well you might as well just hammering for it that shit there I don't it doesn't do anything on a personal level don't like it and also for the skating it doesn't add anything to the skating I can not like a song but it still adds to the video there's been plenty of skate videos where that's happened yeah but with this it's I don't know you've said it it's the song makes a part it makes it memorable and with these I think it's gonna age the part really badly all the songs are basically the Instagram era yeah doing it if someone no comply bail cut cut cut yeah yeah it's that stupid triple hi hat thing yeah yeah it's it's not needed he could have had whatever with the night back in him he could have whatever something once yeah for me it just needs to be you're not gonna hear that you know going 20 years down the line 15 years down the line we can still hear some songs that you know cost him have had his part yeah and it takes you know Frank Black for example with the Los Angeles songs yeah you hear that now you see cost him you're not gonna hear that song and think no I sure that's and that's the issue that because it needs to stand out yeah it's it's just as an important part and I think it's almost been overlooked and but apparently he chose it so yeah maybe should let Ty's use it yeah he's normally really good yeah but he did say on the nine club and the magic we chose himself yeah exactly so that's what I mean it's his his loss right let me have a little talk about the you know the song shit so we're going over the some of his tricks I'm putting out there I think he hits maybe three or four five o's in in this in this part that some of the best ever on circular rails right some of those five o's are on really you know that one round the corner down and around the corner the long that sound that's ridiculous there's a couple other cheeky ones near the start video that we're just so how you find out in that long staying up just staying on there yeah in some of them he's not just doing a balance when he's resting the tail a little bit as well yeah so for me soon you stick up tail down if you put a bit too much weight down you could swing it's for me it's easier to kind of get that pinch in there just just hold it about to hold in the balance exactly rather than stick because once you put that tail down you are you're so delicate yeah obviously you know he's doing so you can but I think in terms of five I'm not sure if there's anyone better ever you know especially on handrails yeah yeah I know Jamie Thomas you know James always up there yeah but I don't think he's done him on stuff as big he does him on handrails I mean maybe he's done big bigger or just as long handrails but not the round of fucking corner yeah that's just yeah the round the corner down one is I don't understand that that is as impressive and he just drops in on the stairs it's not like he's got a lot of time to set up for that and kind of find it he's on it he's gonna talk about individual tricks a few cheeky overcrooks in it as well there is very cheeky overcrooks that one that's kind of it's kind of like it's not set it's now upstairs but then it's like a wall underneath it yes that's ridiculous yeah there was one video on Instagram where this old boy was he was watching you watching the heart and then he was like filming it was phone and it was window and his window overlooks that spot oh yeah it's awesome and he's going like fuck he's just like looking away from here yeah so it's and you see that yeah it's a big old drop that thing right so I'll get you know give him that on the overcrook and there's a couple of other cheeky little overcrooks in there as well that just what hang on overcrook with a hop over the rail it's like a little you know cheeky cheeky one eight year over the rail right and I want that one eight you know grinds one eight year old yeah it's a rail and you spin it about when it's that's one of the best looking tricks I've seen in the world yeah and even surprise type there's great cheeky what's another good one oh the one where he stacks it on Hollywood high is the switch from feeble that's a good trick because then he do a feeble downhill high when he was like 11 maybe for element down would be surprised yeah it's so to do a switch from feeble but a spot like Hollywood high to have some standout tricks down that to this day is pretty impressive so he's doing well there well let me just bring up so when he eats shit oh yeah you know he's bleeding and in a lot of pain he's a lot of pain on the ground that's a tiny bit nice shiny camera just going like checking out with the blood you know probably tell us just a little bit more than we just get a shot changing his lens get the macro lens up so he can just check out his head as well it's like yeah he's clearly not helping him no and he's that's a big old gash and his head yeah didn't he have staples in his head because of that yeah more likely we're talking about staples he said yeah guys nuts open but I didn't know that one you know grind 180 man why would you go back yeah yeah no no I need that no I stick to flat ground it doesn't do that grand what's another ridiculous one he does is the non-heal nose blunt yeah it's quick no double angles there's there's a severe lack of double angles you know it's you know introduced if you wear you'd have had a couple more over it you know double angles but clearly not I guess it was just solo missions with Ty and Niger so just getting it done yeah just handling business I mean let's let's you know we're on tricks here you've got let me talk about his back side tells like down that like curved out hubber yeah that's mental that's another steep one that double angle I think it did I did I did I mean very similar it was too it with no fish eye but it was that is impressive oh yeah because that's curving out the end of that that hubber so you got you've got to make sure you're coming out because you're riding all the way around yeah but you've got to commit you've got a lock into that at the start and then kind of scoot your way out towards the end and it was a fucking security guy walking up to Marley's doing it as well yeah no one phases in the night it skates in front of thousands of people one to carry guards not gonna annoy me that yeah that was a ridiculous one have you got another trace right right 50 with a little golf cart in front of us what was that golf cart doing so when you're a university campus yeah in America a lot of times to stop you from skating you might see a bit of a toro sometimes I try and park but the golf cart part of it so what's happened they've been there and they just parked that golf cart to stop any one was getting the spot I was saying obviously just maybe he was trying to do a different trick and then saw that there's still a little line to go through it yeah probably trying to actually do the stairs but this time exactly but that is I mean that's for a special yeah a couple of crystals in the oh yeah did the the bump to flap to a you did the backside 360 flip yeah it did no crows switch switch front side flip over the little mound around about sort of weird thing yeah and also the 360 kick flip backside yeah yeah yeah with that roundy brick thing what do you get in the lollipop yeah not even here then the switch front side flip the non-lollipop was great I love that trick yeah some people doing scabby but he he did a lot more one another good one Brian yeah yeah he's gone there you go oh yeah he's got a good one I mean he's got every drink yeah not many people have no colds actually got a decent one as well oh yeah you can do it yeah it's done well yeah exactly it was funny when when he's wearing like the back on ijo when he's wearing the rested long thing and Kelly Hart when you see on the Instagram he's calling Batman yeah good shout good shout yeah he's trying a bit too hard yeah he is wearing a cape yeah is an interesting look that he's going for you likes his shorts only oh no you guys he does since being on like I mean hitting rails with shorts it's great just getting in shorts in general yeah just asking for your knees and legs and shins to put that up then again you know you ever skate over there I suppose short is a good show you gotta have that got to have that freedom yeah it's getting in jeans all day it's probably not the greatest right so another trick that you got another trick to be ready I switch run lip down out or yeah I had to go when I watched that first I had to go back because I didn't realize that was switch I just thought oh front lip but go but it didn't make a big bit like I mean it might slow make a little bit of him like going upstairs yeah but like they didn't kind of put it right up there it's like I got this it is a second to last trick but it should have been after black hammers that's why it should have been yeah but it wasn't and yeah I feel like switch front lip down out or is a big deal and be D yeah but yeah yeah yeah it's pretty good but then again is is a switch is a switch front lip is good as good as a front lip to not mean because I mean anyone anyone who skates a switch when I mean I'm not that's not he's still going down that switch down our toro but switch when he is fucking just as easy as normal and they are so to lock on to it I'm sure it's not any problem at all but him to just fly down and just it's still ridiculous oh yes it's it's it's super clean and effortless so you can't deny him of that and I suppose his ender is ridiculous as well is the kink double kink non-y flip out with the crook yeah I mean that's ridiculous he's he's back he's back foot on that trick mate it's just he's just he locks in on going down you know going down so that's wiggling that foot just not too much but just just to find it and he's got a cheat codes he has got a cheat code right there that is all the balance right there's no fucking wobble there's nothing there's nothing he is just on there ready takes it within his side yeah it just does it and lands it like it's nothing yeah and it's insane that's good that is a good ender but it's it's weird where there's so many good tricks in this one video that even though that ender is good it kind of desensitizes you to how good some of these tricks actually are well yeah 100% I mean if you think about it some I'd say probably ten of the tricks could be enders in his video and I mean it is a pointless because he said the element of working on a video in a mine club yeah now and he's been focused on this video now let's see what foot he stacks up with element because if elements like a half-hour or you know what you respect if it's like a two and a half minute rather than 11 minute thing yeah really he should should he not be filming like five minutes of that footage over to the element video yeah he should have I mean let's see he's only got a few months to film yeah but I suppose he can do whatever he wants so and he probably you might not use all of his good foot job exactly yeah so you might be sitting myself but let's you know jury's out now let's just see if when that video doesn't happen I'm looking forward to that you know mark up we are doing some crispy trays and I mean those guys hopefully fam has got an FDR like that you know it's like on their team they got quite a few people I've got a Grayson Fletcher oh he's gonna have a great a he's gonna have such a good part what part would you love to see him absolutely I mean FDR would be to see him shredding like with Bam that'd be pretty cool I mean any any big Burnside burn side any of the big ones would be what's I mean like going to go into parts because Grace of Black I'm sure Grace of actually one of the old boys had a it's like a Superman of sort of like all the ramps are huge yeah you might you might have had a little bit of the guys might have had one of the guys might have had it there I would have to find a name but it does a particular day no just drop another around and just big front side you know as just to pull in it and it's like he's the one that ages go barracks the first high Friday and he was they woke him up on the vert yeah and he drops in almost bales the dropping does a compo the king and then comes back up part in relation to his others so you got the rising shine one which we did when he came back and then the Fate of Black one which is the I did like the Fate of Black I did like Fate of Black that was the one that he had that crook I'm kind of like an escalator sort of edge and just ate shit from the top of it yeah see that that was an awesome video but I still as a video as watching something maybe the other one I might have enjoyed more but this in terms of being one of the greatest skateboarders of all time and this people can have any opinion on Nigeria they want they can say I don't like this they're like that you know he's too good here he's too good it's like he's better than fucking everyone yeah and he doesn't go down as one of the greatest of all time he's on the Mount Rushmore of skateboarding I don't give a shit what people say he's betting everyone so he's got to be on there yeah it's you know everyone's got your Tony Hawk you know you see Caballero you're Tom Penny you're Jeff around it I mean it's endless yeah but Nigel you know he's done he's done more than pretty much any of those fuckers and he's had really if you think about it just as kind of long as Korea he's in response and since he's nine yeah he's probably had a more relevant career yeah like for you know he stayed in relevancy that whole time exactly some of these older guys have dropped in rubbery texture on it I think it's an awesome idea for a skate shoe yeah it's gonna be a nice one I you want the white one oh yeah it's too you can issue isn't it yeah but I want to wait until there's some cheeky colors what color are you going for I want like a black and white or a blue what blue is that they mean it's obsidian blue yeah visual yeah it works too long in the shots and know that it's yeah it'll be a nice color like obsidian blue with a white with a white with a white with a white yeah but now I think I just think as a tennis shoe it just looks what if they do it in the like tennis colors orange and not orange the luminescent yellow green crap yeah I mean they could have reflective as well like yeah reflective take and everything reflective soul yeah but I awesome shoe yeah that's good it'd be nice yeah how much is it have you seen with okay it's deep it is steep but I mean it's not as steep as the bloody coston no when the cost of free came out if you look at a company like straight for example they're maxing out like 55 mate yeah but you look at all the technology that's in that yeah in that night shoes and the supposed life that you're gonna get out of this I mean if you compare it to the diamond niktaka that's a equal as well and again yeah lock technology in it yeah but it's it's an a quick shoe yeah so it's it's you know it's it's I suppose where it is now yeah you know if you want if you want that technical shoe but I just don't say it maybe it's a bit steep because it's you know doesn't have the other bubble like the yeah I mean I never gonna add a tenor off to a shoe so I never worth a lot of money yeah exactly but yeah I'd love to say it I think it's a it's a solid shoe looks looks clean and I think that texture that texture just takes it in next level yeah I'd like to see them kind of what I'm sure it's gonna stand the test and you've seen it in the flesh yeah no no I want to see one no I just looks pretty hard into it when they when they were doing a couple of wear tests or it's on instead of a few months back and they kind of broke it down that you don't have a real good look at it yeah if you're different companies are gonna get invited to go and see it it was like cool texture looks very very interesting for a durability factor and that's what I liked about when Nigel was saying on the nine club he was saying that he wants he wants to shoot you so yeah might be a little bit of a pricey shoe but at least it's gonna last a long time and he was thinking about the kids out there that escaped so much not everyone's in the situation without getting free shoes or we would like discount it yeah kickflipping down now it's like you're gonna keep going you're gonna be I mean like I said remember when I had the 90 DC's remember how long they lasted me remember them they lasted a while didn't they no they didn't know it was the opposite they did not like I fresh but fresh ball and they lasted for about three skates three hard skates yeah but there was I cut a hole for them quick yeah awesome shoe not the shoe itself but if I was getting free fair enough if you pay a better shoe paying six equipped that should be exactly no good but yeah so but but I mean what give me your opinion then of where it stands the video self let's go back to the video what do you think I think it's it's in the middle it's better than the rising shine it's not as good as the fader black I'm not watching the fader black in a little while but there's more stuff just downstairs whereas in till death is just mainly handrail whereas in that he's flipping and doing stuff downstairs which I mean who's to say which is better but it's nice to see the balance of a very exactly yeah so I would say the rising shine fader black is probably his best right closely followed by the tilde yeah I think tilde but there's watching a video maybe the other ones a bit more entertaining but in terms of the progression skateboarding this video it puts you know with a different soundtrack and maybe you know a couple of cheeky lines a couple angles it could be people's most that could be their favorite thing is you know so up for what I said you judge yeah exactly and what I said about the bird house video when that first came out now that's an awesome video every video every perception of that video is awesome that's making it when people go mental for it because this bird else and you know they didn't get the best kind of oh no highlight on king or right which you know people are looking at is a yeah more the cocks you know people didn't really like you know fall level of like they did with a death wish or a toy machine or whatever you know so I think if and it's the same with Nigel you know you change that to someone else doing that that's just in favor at the moment if it's actually plugs that video part and just never filmed film a film that on an iPhone I put it on Instagram people blowing up all over the place yeah so it's have you ever seen any actual footage of a sartre bug that's not filmed on the phone no I've seen six acts I've let me see yeah he's an awesome skater but like I just think people need to kind of cut niger a fuck like a slack because there's no dispute he's fucking petting everyone yeah in terms of what he's throwing down on a handrail it was nice to see the barracks give him a lot of attention because he deserves it it's a big deal so yeah he's done well right let's just let's wrap up there they will call it but Nigel played your mate nice one he did all
